Dean is unhappy that Sam took a yearlong vacation from demon hunting while Sam (Mr. Padalecki) is curious about the fate of Castiel (Misha Collins), the angel and comic foil who was sent to purgatory along with Dean. In a mildly interesting turn of events, Dean has brought with him a demon ally (Ty Olsson), recalling the brothers’ uneasy truce with the demon Ruby in earlier seasons.
